For a little over a year, I’ve been wrestling with a question. I don’t think about it every day, but it comes around with increasing frequency. What am I to do with this blog? This blog has been a part of my life for nearly fifteen years. It didn’t start as a blog, but it became one. And my love for writing and helping people understand the Bible is what started it and is what has kept it going. I’ve used it to share what God is doing in my journey, I’ve used it to occasionally share political opinions (though not recently), and I’ve used it to share essentially whatever I thought might challenge or encourage you.
I still love writing. I still enjoy helping people. But I think the season of doing that through a blog may be coming to a close. There are several factors that play into my feelings on this, but the biggest one by far is I sense the Lord steering my energies in a different direction. I’m pouring my writing skills into other outlets for the time being and it’s bearing fruit. So, I’m pruning. And all pruning is done with the expectation of greater fruitfulness in the next season.
This website is going to undergo a transformation over the next little bit. I can’t say how yet. For sure it will continue to be a place where you can get information about my books and other projects where I’m involved. Beyond that, the Lord will lead me and time will tell.
I do appreciate everyone who has faithfully read my posts over the years. It has been my joy to write, share, and grow with you. I’m still gonna write, and who knows, maybe some of it will end up here anyways. I’m excited for what the future holds. The Lord has been faithful up till now, and he will remain faithful into what’s next.
